Mount Meru

Mount Meru Trekking view

Stunning mountain to climb

Tanzania’s second highest mountain (4,566 meter high) is a stunning mountain to climb. Mount Meru is an active volcano that offers supreme views and wildlife sightings. On your trek you might come across game such as monkeys, buffaloes, all kind of birds and even giraffes and elephants. That's why you will be accompanied by an armed park ranger on your tour. Although Mount Meru is often called ‘Kilimanjaro’s little brother’, it’s a challenging trek that should not be underestimated. Enjoy the peace, lack of crowds and the impressive 360 degrees views from the summit.

There is only one official route to the summit of Meru – the ‘Momella route’.
